Leaker Protection: Know When a Fan Has Leaked Before
Rulta Mate now alerts you when a fan in your OnlyFans chats has leaked another creator's content before. Here's how Leaker Protection works.

Most creators only find out a fan leaked their content after it's already out there. By then, all that's left is chasing it down.
We wanted to flip that order. So we built Leaker Protection, a new Rulta Mate feature that warns you when a fan you're chatting with has already been caught leaking another creator's content.
Here's how it works, what it can and can't do, and how it fits next to the tools you already use.
What Leaker Protection does
Leaker Protection is a shared warning system built on top of Rulta Mate's invisible watermark.
When a creator using Rulta Mate traces a leak back to a specific fan with the watermark, we add that fan to our leaker database. From then on, if the same fan starts chatting with another creator who uses Rulta Mate, that creator gets an alert saying this person has leaked other creators' content before.
So one creator's catch becomes a heads-up for everyone else. Instead of each creator learning about a leaker the hard way, the second creator gets a warning before anything is sent.
Why we built it
If you've used Chargeback Protection, this will feel familiar. Chargeback Protection tells you when a fan has a history of chargebacks, so you can decide how to handle them before they cost you money. Leaker Protection does the same thing, but for leaking.
A fan who shared one creator's paid content has already shown what they might do with content they buy. That's useful to know before you start a conversation, not after. We wanted creators to catch repeat leakers earlier and feel a little safer while chatting with fans.
How the invisible watermark feeds the database
The database only grows when a leak is traced to a real person, so it helps to know how that tracing works.
When you send content in DMs through Rulta Mate, it can carry a hidden watermark tied to the fan who received it. Nobody can see it, and it doesn't change the quality. If that content later shows up somewhere it shouldn't, the watermark can point back to the fan it was sent to.
A few limits to know up front:
- It works on content you send in DMs.
- Photos are always covered. Videos are covered only when DRM is turned off for that video.
- It can't trace content that was never sent through Rulta Mate.
The watermark is most useful when you already suspect a specific fan. Send them a watermarked photo, and if it turns up on another site, you have proof of who shared it. That's also the moment they get added to the leaker database.
How to use Leaker Protection step by step
- Set up Rulta Mate. Install the desktop app for Windows or Mac and connect your OF account, or connect your account on mobile and start using it in your web browser. It takes a few minutes.
- Send DM content through Rulta Mate. Photos in DMs get the invisible watermark. Videos only carry it when DRM is off, so weigh that tradeoff video by video.
- Watch for the alert. When a fan from the leaker database starts chatting with you, Rulta Mate shows you an alert.
- Decide how to handle that fan. You can block them, hold back paid content, or keep chatting with more care. It's your call.
- If a fan leaks your content, trace it. Use the watermark to identify who shared it. There's a demo in the Watermark tab that shows you how to detect the leaker. That fan goes into the database, and the next creator gets warned.
Leaker Protection vs other Rulta Mate safety tools
| Leaker Protection | Chargeback Protection | Invisible watermark | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it tells you | This fan leaked another creator's content before | This fan has a history of chargebacks | Which fan a leaked photo or video was sent to |
| Where the info comes from | Leaks traced by Rulta Mate creators | Chargeback history shared across creators | Your own DM content |
| When it helps | Before you send them anything | Before they cost you money | After a leak shows up |
| What you do next | Decide how to handle the fan | Decide, or turn on automatic blocking | Use it as proof of who shared it |
| Works on its own? | Relies on other creators' catches | Relies on shared chargeback history | Needs content sent through Rulta Mate |
The three work best together. The watermark catches leakers, Leaker Protection spreads the word, and Chargeback Protection covers the money side.
What Leaker Protection can't do
We'd rather tell you the limits now than have you find them later.
- No alert doesn't mean a fan is safe. The database only includes fans who were traced with the watermark by a Rulta Mate creator. A fan who leaked content but was never traced won't show up.
- It won't stop a leak by itself. It gives you information. What you do with that fan is up to you.
- It only covers chats on Rulta Mate. The alert shows up when a flagged fan chats with a creator who uses Rulta Mate.
- It doesn't remove leaked content. Getting content taken down is a separate job. Rulta, our sister service, handles DMCA takedowns.
FAQ
How does a fan end up in the leaker database?
A creator using Rulta Mate traces a leaked photo or video back to them with the invisible watermark. Once a leak is traced to a specific fan, we add them to the database.
Do I have to catch a leaker myself to get alerts?
No. Alerts come from leaks traced by any creator using Rulta Mate. If a fan was caught leaking someone else's content and then starts chatting with you, you'll see the alert.
If I don't get an alert, does that mean a fan has never leaked?
No. It only means they haven't been traced through Rulta Mate's watermark. Treat the alert as extra information, not a guarantee.
Does the watermark work on videos?
Yes, but only when DRM is turned off for that video. Photos sent in DMs are always covered.
How is this different from Chargeback Protection?
Chargeback Protection flags fans with a history of chargebacks. Leaker Protection flags fans who have been caught leaking other creators' content. Same idea, different risk.
What should I do if I get an alert?
That's up to you. Some creators block the fan right away. Others keep chatting but hold back paid content. The point is that you get to decide before anything is sent, not after.
